HISTORY
Dating from c1120, St Helen’s features the original door, a 13th Century font, 15th Century civilian brasses and memorials to the Eden family.

A guidebook is available form church, which is open for viewing from April to October on Saturday and Sunday Afternoons.
MISSION STATEMENT
St Helen Auckland stands firmly within the Anglo-Catholic Tradition of the Church of England. The parish is affiliated to “Forward in Faith” www.forwardinfaith.com and, is under the Episcopal care of the Bishop of Beverley, the Provincial Episcopal Visitor for the Northern Province.
As a parish, we proclaim our faith through the Creed, the Sacraments and the apostolic ministry of bishops and priests of the Universal Church, and we seek to serve all who live within our community. We have a vision for unity and truth and we are going ‘Forward in Faith’.
